Welcome!!  I am Lyndsay Brown Founder/Owner of HOOKEDUPB MAG (‘HOOKEDUPB’ for short). HOOKEDUPB is an ONLINE MAG (magazine) about Underground/Indie (unsigned artists) Music & Entertainment News, based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

HOOKEDUPB MAG is a music publishing & music promotion company. Unlike most music promotion sites, HOOKEDUPB MAG not only serves our direct location of ‘indie music Canada’, but talents from around the world such as: United States, Jamaica, and United Kingdom.  

HOOKEDUPB plans on bringing music lovers the latest entertainment news, latest music, indie rock, Underground Hip-Hop, pop- really all genres of music unsigned, and even some celeb news!

HOOKEDUPB Canada will exhibit music news Canada, and aboard by writing: artist interviews, full music reviews, articles, event coverage, and event experiences. HOOKEDUPB also does video promotion, sells ad space (corporate), and has started a directory for all industry ads (similar to a classified page). Some of these services are free, and some of these services have a cost, please see “Service Description and Prices” tab at the top right of the website.

HOOKEDUPB has much experience in the industry in regards to writing about arts and entertainment both in Toronto and abroad, and working hard to bring results to clients. HOOKEDUPB’s core differentiation is providing full written work, and online promotion, rather than a few sentences which other like online music magazines tend to provide.  

Currently, Lyndsay brown is the only employee. All work including: photography, photo edits, promotion, recruiting, writing, video content, web design, management of social media accounts, networking, sales etc. are done By: Lyndsay Brown. Some photos used have been provided by artists, and some ‘Googled’ which is noted within material. HOOKEDUPB is looking forward to debuting new writers in the near future! HOOKEDUPB MAG does not sell written work at this time.
