The producers showcase in London Ontario was filled with people, with at least, one thing in common- a love 4 Hip Hop! Like those old jazz scenes in small crowded bars, mostly men and some women, jamming in the realest ways. It’s about working with what they’ve got, to get were they need to be. Networking is a huge aspect at an event like this; the place was filled with future opportunities from radio- MC’s. There where ties, a FEMALE producer (Neenah), 3 performances from Point Blank members, 4 judges, 16 producers, and the champion is Big Pops and the runner up C4; brought to you by New Industry Canada.
Strik9 and Flex opened the show with performances that showed their energy, and passed it on to the whole room to start the night off right. New Industry Canada and Chedo from The Come Up Show were the hosts. All the producers had bangin beats and a fan base. This once a year event is to get exposure and to expand in the music industry. People from different places came to the championship to cheer on, have fun, meet new people, sell/ buy, and learn new things. Invest in your self, believe in your self, and make smart relationships should be the goal for participants.
The producers were: Big Pops, Mista Magic, C4, Black Ghost, Landscape, Logik, Joey Black, Philly Blunt, Vokab, J Staffz, Madloops, Ridicule, Superville, Emerson Brooks, Memoricks, and Neenah (not listed in any order). The judges that rated the producer’s challenges were: Shad K, The Rich Kid, Mic Boogie, and D-Sisive. Through out the event Point Blank members took the stage.
