Well Well Guess who’s Back With A New Music Video? Cash Pound Notes!! #Liverpool
By: Lyndsay Brown
Looks like Short A & Karma Cavelli otherwise known as Liverpool’s own Rap duo Cash Pound Notes (signed to Big Condo Records) controversial “Trappin” track paid off in 2015. Trendy Cash Pound Notes- “Trappin” buzz boosted their reputation with all kinds of audiences specially the ladies!
on June 24, 2016 the “Get With Me” (Produced by Vex Blazer) audio was released, and can be purchased on iTunes NOW! Soon after on July 4, 2016 Cash Pound Notes released their new steamy-hot music video for their song “Get With Me”.
Cupid strikes in Cash Pound Notes- “Get With Me” music video which exposes both lads partaking in public, and private displays of affection… from the waterfront area to the fancy Hilton Hotel/Resort. Cash Pound Notes, and their hearts desires ‘get drunk off the Hennessey, party to the night, and then get right’. This song plus music video seem like a big level up for the Cash Pound Notes. Not only has the quality of video and the Rappers confidence gone up, but the lyrical content and beat melody has too. Factors mentioned above all bode well together making this their best work yet, and I look forward to their future projects. Watch, Cash Pound Notes- “Get With Me” (Produced by Vex Blazer) music video below:

Talent Sent From the Rap Gods, Female Rapper Ms. Teaze #Alberta Canada
By: Lyndsay Brown
Alberta, Canada- dope female Rapper/Spoken Word Poet, Ms. Teaze seems to have gotten her natural talent from the Rap Gods that be. Ms. Teaze exudes major confidence in her performance, and spits with conviction weather the lyrics be about serious matters or motivational topics. Within seconds of listening to her music one knows she’s a top Rap contender for Canada. Ms. Teaze has three shows booked in the months to come, and has new material dropping soon too.
Ms. Teaze started her passion to Rap with uncertainty, but once she started her path of becoming an emcee she gained the respect of her home town quickly! The recognition Ms. Teaze received grew even faster after performing at local shows, moving on to opening for major acts such as: Wu-Tang, Snak The Ripper, Moka Only, Tech N9ne (twice), and most recently Lloyd Banks. Ms. Teaze says she has three more shows lined up for the near future. Ms. Teaze will be opening for WC Connection on July 2, 2016, Insane Posse on July 11, 2016, and a very special performance at the Edmonton Hip-Hop Awards on September 11, 2016! Keep your eyes, and ears open for Ms. Teaze…
In the past five years or so Ms. Teaze has released seven official music videos, and two Vlog type YouTube videos on her own channel. Most of Ms. Teaze’s music video seems to have all been directed, and shot by the same videographers under the name: Crow Quill Productions. In the past year Ms. Teaze released a five track EP titled: “Unity-Empowerment-Respect” (on Soundcloud). Two of tracks from the EP were made into music videos, which are: “Sh*t Off My Chest” (RED NATION REMIX), and “Cold Spells” Ft. Sunsparrow. I’m feeling “Cold Spells” song/video. The “Cold Spells” video is located at a house/cottage setting on the lake, with an upset Ms. Teaze finishing off a relationship; another aspect about the song is that Ms. Teaze featured female Singer Sunsparrow for the hook, additionally who plays the guitar, while she (Ms. Teaze) Poetically Raps to the instrumental. Ms. Teaze says she is in the studio working on her next project, for now watch the “Cold Spells” video below:

Caesar Sant, 7 Yr Old Classical Violin Player & His Wishes #TheEllenShow
By: Lyndsay Brown
Updated: June 3, 2016
Little Caesar Sant is the youngest - violin prodigy - artist to be featured on the HOOKEDUPB MAG website; Caesar Sant is seven years old, and is very talented in his abilities to play the violin. Caesar’s family noticed that Caesar had a love for Classical music when he was just 22 months old; Caesar started playing the violin when he was two years of age, and started doing performances at the age four!! Now Caesar plays Classical music such as Bach!!
I first became aware of Caesar Sant a year or so ago, after watching a Documentary on National Geographic YouTube Channel titled: “Child Prodigy, a Painful Disease, and Life Changing Treatment”. I was extremely impressed by Caesar’s talent, plus a rather unforgettable story of strength and endurance. The information I gathered from the National Geographic Documentary was inspiring. Caesar was diagnosed with Sickle-Cell Anemia when he was born; in short this means it causes Caesar to endure great pain, and even strokes. Caesar has had strokes; at age five Caesar was left paralyzed by a stroke, and had to learn how to walk, and play the violin all over again.
Caesar loves Classical music, and playing the violin. Caesar at his young age wants to play the violin “very good”, not“okay” as he stated in the National Geographic Documentary during his rehabilitation! Caesar has a professional violin teacher, practices often, and continues to perform in front of crowds. Caesar is truly amazing at both playing the violin, and fighting his Sickle-Cell Anemia. During his time receiving help from his communities he has made some ‘wishes’: one wish with the Make-A-Wish America Foundation, is to meet Mr. Itzhak Perlman to whom Caesar will perform a small piece on May 18th; Mr. Itzhak Perlman plays in the California Orchestra. Another wish of Caesar’s is to meet, and be on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
They say: “ask and you shall receive”; great news Caesar Sant has been granted his wish to meet Mr. Itzhak Perlman May 18, 2016. Caesar’s father Lucas Sant tells me Caesar is thrilled about his wish coming true, and getting to meet Mr. Itzhak Perlman next week; watch the grand announcement video below:
So, there you have it; just as New York Rapper Nas has said to uplift, and motivated children all over the world with a Classically played piano on the beat “I Can” the children on his song chant: “if I work hard at it, I’ll be where I wanna be”…Caesar Sant has done just that, and continues to work even harder!! If you would like to help Caesar Sant have his second ‘wish’ come true; it would be great if you take a few minutes to fill out the request form to see Caesar Sant on The Ellen DeGeneres Show listed below:
http://www.ellentv.com/be-on-
Further, Caesar Sant still needs help raising money for his life changing transplant that has a 95% chance of curing him of the Sickle-Cell Anemia; below is the link to Caesar’s Go Found Me account, if you would like to donate money to this talented, strong young boy, and his family.

Demo Forever AKA Lox Jay Releases New Music Video “24/7” #Toronto
By: Lyndsay Brown
Demo Forever AKA Lox Jay is a speedy Toronto Hardcore Rapper who has been keeping quiet while working hard to release quality work that will stand out in the Toronto Underground Scene. In the past months Demo has been dropping ‘teases’ such as: “Out Of Control”, and his life story freestyle “My Life” on Soundcloud letting people know that he is about to bring his ‘A Game’ to the table.
May 9, 2016 Demo Forever released his music video “24/7” as promised it is indeed quality work that shows his high energy as a performer!! The “24/7” music videos intro is a snippet of Demo’s new track “Fuck Being Famous” for the first 20 seconds, and then the video pans out to the main feature.
An aspect that I really love about this video is that the Director (Rome Studios) shot the video Down Town Toronto at night with Demo Forever standing in front of the colorfully lit CN Tower for the most part. The video content and lyrical content mold together perfectly. A couple of Demo’s lines on the track mention the CN Tower for example: “born and raised where the tower stay gleamin’”, and “I’m rising like the CN Tower of fuckin’ greatness”. Continuing, Toronto is commonly compared to New York City…Demo hits on this subject too, for example the chorus: “I got that grind that’s 24 fuckin 7, auh, I drop that flow like it’s fuckin’ 9/11, auh, I got that grind that’s 24 fuckin 7, auh, I drop that flow like it’s fucking 9/11, auh, I got that grind that’s fuckin’ 24/7, auh, I drop that flow that’s like fucking 9/11”, and then talks about how far he wants to take his craft mentioning Jay-Z AKA Hov AKA Jigga AKA The King of New York: “I’m tryin’ do it like I’m fuckin’ Jigga, yea, get it bitch”. Overall, I think this video is a great signal for what’s to come in the future, from this artist. "24/7"- Demo Forever, is posted below:
Demo Forever AKA Lox Jay’s video “Fuck Being Famous” comes out next week…Stay tuned!

Ready to Take Toronto by Storm #TheSavilles Debut a New Music Video!!
By: Lyndsay Brown
The Savilles a Toronto, Indie Alternative/Rock Band made up of four members are ready to rock the streets of Toronto. The Savilles vocalist, Meagan Brittanie has a beautiful voice showing an effortless confidence, she can hit the high notes, and the low vocal notes; the other three band members playing instruments are: Adam Camick on Guitar, James Muehmer playing Bass, and last but not least: Nate Finucci keeping the tempo on the Drums.
The Savilles already have their ‘foot in the door’; on April 16, 2016 they held a live show playing songs from their self titled debut EP at Horseshoe venue in Toronto. Further, The Savilles single “Sunrise” has already gotten air play on CIUT 89.5 FM Radio. Music- check, gigs- check, radio play- check, visuals…next…
The Savilles release their debut music video “Sunrise” today (May 6, 2016) ahead of their EP!! “Sunrise” the music video was directed by award winning Danny Dunlop. Danny Dunlop did a great job capturing: who the band is, where they’re from, and the sheer confidence of the song lyrics. The majority of the video features Meagan Brittanie singing as she walks down Toronto’s Lakeshore’s West End, passing each band member playing their instruments on the street, until she reaches Toronto’s Rock ‘hotspot’, Village Vinyl Café; at this point Meagan ‘hot girl’ struts into the Café to join the band on stage! The entire band has a fun loving personality with amazing talent who will definitely stand out in Toronto’s Indie Rock industry.
The “Sunrise” song is about a new love attraction, and the anticipation for more. Most of the song has cool relaxed monotone, as the bass picks up you can hear the soul in Meagan Brittanie’s voice bubble up from the pit of her stomach, oozing the urge to continue this rendezvous. The Savilles are totally on point, and without ‘a doubt’ will make Toronto proud; check them out for yourself, the “Sunrise” music video is posted below:
The Savilles contact info is listed in the notes section of the YouTube video...

Ill-It Beatz Got Those Beats You Been Looking For, Plus Be In Ill-iteracy’s Next Video
By: Lyndsay Brown
People in the music industry are always looking for beatmaker’s and similarly beatmaker’s are always looking for clients to work with. In the underground/indie world of music it’s common for people to use popular instrumentals; for mixtapes, and freestyles that’s cool to get noticed. Although, an artist wants to take your music to the next level they should consider using original beats for projects like: albums or singles. I mean what’s the point of creating a hot tune everyone loves, but you can’t fully promote because of copyright laws? Spend your time and money wisely.
Ill-it Beatz/Ill-iteracy are a collective of Rappers & Beatmaker’s from the United States are a great example of where to start; they make their beats all in house, and most of their work doesn’t even use samples. HOOKEDUPB linked up this group of guys from Ill-iteracy back in 2015 to write an article about their team, and their official music video “Kingdom”. Months later HOOKEDUPB used one of their beats for: “HOOKEDUPB Year End Special Video” featuring three of HOOKEDUPB’s interviews done in 2015. Ever since, HOOKEDUPB has been keeping up with Ill-it Beatz production created By: Chris Prythm. All the great producers/beatmaker’s that are well known help others in the industry; Ill-it Beatz counterpart of Ill-iteracy does this too.
If you are interested in finding new original beats, check out beats By: Chris Prythm titled: “Clarity” and “Wind Up”. Chris Prythm suggests that the “Wind Up” beat would suit a collaboration with an R&B Singer, and an MC (but hey if you have your own vision for this beat all the power to ya’). Continuing, not sure if Chris Prythm or Will Spitwell (Also from ill-it Beats) made the beat “Gimme My Cash”, but it’s fire too. Ill-it Beats credits include: Lloyd Banks, Raekwon, and Fred The Godson etc. Ill-it Beatz sell pretty quickly, so if you’re interested make sure you hit: “add to chart”. That’s not all these guys have to offer, keep reading to find out more.
Currently, Ill-iteracy/ Ill-it Beatz came up with an innovative way to bring attention to motivated artists and or individuals by showcasing them in their new music video “Need That”. What they purpose is for people, who are on “the come up”, record themselves doing what motivates them to the lyrical content. Once, Ill-iteracy feels they have received enough content for this part of the music video they will shoot the rest in Roanoke, Virginia. If you choose to participate make sure to send them your social media handles with your recording so they can shout you out when the video is complete. For more information visit www.ill-it.com .The audio for this project has been uploaded to YouTube; it is titled: Kimbro- “Need That” Ft. Chris Prythm & Young Observe; the video is listed below:
