19 year old Alessia Cara is from Brampton, Ontario and has recently released her first EP #FourPinkWalls, and music video for her first major song “Here”. She has a passion for music, and rightfully so as she has taken the world by surprise at the first listen of her voice, and uncanny honesty. Some of the most interesting aspects about her are that even though she is now a signed artist she has decided to keep her original image. Alessia Cara wrote, directed, and produced most her music videos such as “I’m Yours” and “Four Pink Walls” with a GoPro Camera. Keeping her style raw as it was when she was first noticed by members of the music industry; a talented girl on YouTube doing covers of other popular songs. On Sept. 17, 2015 Alessia Cara was awarded Streamy’s “Best Original Song” for “Here”. Destined to shine and rise to the top she told HOT 97 FM earlier this month, her album “Know it All” is scheduled for release “late fall”.

CIAS, AKA the Air Show, 2015 [Review + Photos]

This year marks the 66th CIAS (Canadian International Air show) held at the Toronto Exhibition during Sept. 5, 6, & 7th 2015 CNE. The Air Show had a similar line up as last year with the fan favorites like: Canadian Forces Snowbirds, and Mike Wiskus & the Lucas Oil Pitts Special. On Sept. 5, 2015 the Air show was interactive with much to do on the event grounds, as there was to watch in the air.
First, things you notice at the event grounds besides the Food tent, were the product tents such as: the huge BREITLING JET TEAM tent featuring BREITLING WATCHES and the JET TEAM, Porter Flying Refined, and theCanadian Forces Snowbirds etc. For people of all ages the most exciting tent for folks to admire and/or appreciate the pilots was the USAF F-16 VIPER DEMO TEAM as a crew was on site; before the Air Show started I got a change to meet the crew, takes pictures, and ask a few questions. There were adults and kids alike playing with foam toy Airplanes on the event ground... but, the planes and Jets in the air are the main attraction.
It seemed to me that the Air Show made improvements this year by featuring less big cargo planes, and replacing them with nonstop action from a variety of Jets. One exciting part of the show looked like it could have been from the ‘Mission Impossible’ movie, when a Helicopter does a rescue stunt for the crowd. Overall the show was ‘cool’ experiencing: the sparks, the smoke, the loud engines, of course the cool tricks, music during the show, stories about the pilots, facts on jets, and much more! Reggae the original sound of the Caribbean; HOOKEDUPB MAG introduces you to Prince Talib the very humble artists of Jamaica. Over the past year he has been working hard on his craft and careful planning by releasing an EPK and two music videos.
Prince Talib, who is a rising star with a message to people in Jamaica, and around the world; he speaks of views on his knowledge of truth of the past, and present. His new EPK “Sons of Royalty” has nine songs you can listen to or download for free online. Out of the nine songs on the EPK two music videos that have been released on YouTube “Dem Nuh Care” Ft. Skallah Feind, and “Africa is Calling”.
On the same YouTube channel there is an interview style video titled “Prince Talib- Sons of Royalty Compilation” where Prince Talib tells us a little bit about himself, and explains a more in-depth description of the EPK such as the meaning behind the name of the EPK-“Sons of Royalty”: “it speaks to everybody, that’s why I used that term ‘sons… it just speaks to everybody, that we are all of royal people, and we all are of royal people, and so we need to act like royal people, so that’s just basically it, and it speaks not only to the male gender, it also speaks to the female gender too”… watch below:

EFF EL U CREW is a Rap group formed in 2013 the three young men, members of the crew are: Kon Tak, Trip A, and Skits Mantis, ‘straight Outta’ Vancouver, Canada. The EFF EL U CREW has an old school feel to their music, keeping the original sounds of Hip-Hop. Their messages are passionate rapping about all things Hip-Hop: love, disappointment, motivational uplifting tracks, and social political topics. The last group Mixtape release was in 2014 titled “Bullet Ant Glove”; Kon Tak came out with solo album titled “When the Dream is Gone” 2015. Currently, planning on their next album release of “Human Sushi” due to be out winter 2016; the crew wants to continue the buzz around their music.
A stand out song that pulls at the heart strings is “Catch You” Ft. Danielle Howell about Breast Cancer, watch the music video below:
EFF EL CREWestablished the groups brand well with a website (www.effelu.com) where they: sell clothing, feature their music videos, sell tracks, and direct people to the group’s social media, and streaming sites. Another, gripping track that is featured on their website “Breaking Walls” hits on the state of society and police brutality…check out their music today!

Kacy Hill has released her first major single called “Foreign Fields” produced by Jack Garratt. “Foreign Fields” is a fan favorite; becoming viral on Spotify solidifying Top Ten on UK, USA, and global Viral Chart. Sonni AKA Steath_hq photography is based in London England features creative pictures of architecture or landscapes, and eclectic which are completely captivating. Sonni uses Fuji XT-1, and has a gallery of photos on his popular Instagram account @Stealth_hq. Sonni’s IG following is rapidly increasing, but at this time has 22.9k followers, with currently 289 posts; each photo has hundreds to thousands of likes. Trust me you won’t be able to pick a favorite they are just that good. Sonni says he has done many other things as a career in his life time, but really enjoys photography. Continuing, he wants to collaborate with other artistic folks, and of course would like to have his photos seen wherever/whenever people are open to it. #Slash Concert at Sound Academy in #Toronto

On Sept. 23, 2015 Slash Hard Rock/Metal guitarist/musician held a concert at the Sound Academy in Toronto as part of the “World on Fire Tour” featuring: Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators. I personally did not go to the concert, but I do however have a friend from high school who went with her boyfriend. My friends name is Amber; she was having so much fun that she took Facebook to post photos, and say how awesome the experience was. I asked her if she wanted to give HOOKEDUPB MAG some insider info on the concert, and she was pleased to do so. Amber sent some pictures she took on her cell phone from the crowd along with a short experience statement. Here’s what Amber had to say about her experience at the Slash concert last night:
“The whole concert was great, slash is an amazing guitarist/artist who has been on the playing music for over 30+ years. It was wonderful to hear a mix of old and new stuff. It was also a great mix in the crowd from ages 10 to 60. There was a father there with his son!”
Further, I took to twitter to see what Slash had to say, if anything about his experience in Toronto, and sure enough he was pleased by the crowed stating:
